Participants Guidelines and Rules:

  • You must be registered for and checked in to MarinaHacks to work and submit a project/submission. Every hacker should have an acceptance email. 
  • Compete solo or in maximum team of four.
  • Must be of age 18 years of age or older. 
  • You do NOT have to be a woman to compete; this event is inclusive to everyone.
  • All submissions must be made by 10:30 AM PDT on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
  • You cannot steal another team's code in any way, shape, or form.
  • You can select only ONE Competition Category to be eligible for. However, everyone is able to select the Hacker's Favorite Category in addition to the other pillars: Social Good, Entertainment and Technical
  • Gifts and competition category prizes will not be shipped. The prizes will be available for pick-up during WIC's GBM times or another requested time on campus.
  • Hackers are responsible for their own equipment, devices, and any other materials needed to compete in the hackathon during the event. 

  • Participants must not engage in any illegal activities or conduct that would violate any laws or regulations, including CSULB Campus Rules and Regulations found here: https://www.csulb.edu/student-affairs/campus-rules-and-regulations.

  • Any violation of the rules will be immediate disqualification
